The Laurier Institute for Water Science (LIWS) is a multidisciplinary, collaborative undertaking among research faculty in the Faculty of Arts, the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics and the Faculty of Science. A university-community partnership is helping to educate the next generation of water stewards. The Laurier Institute for Water Science has supported the Halton Children's Water Festival, a popular outdoor event organized by Conservation Halton and Halton Region, since 2022.
